Job Description

Job Summary

As our Development Manager, you will develop solar, BESS and hybrid projects from concept to Ready-To-Build. Working holistically, you will collaborate with stakeholders to secure the agreements and approvals required for a successful project outcome. The Development Manager will join existing project teams and support on the origination of new sites, with a focus on grid issues. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform desktop assessments of new green field solar,BESS and hybrid opportunities including land management, planning and grid
  • Supporting on the development activities for existing projects in NSW, VIC, and TAS
  • Coordinate the required resources on the grid connection to secure bankable connection agreements
  • Provide strategic input, advice and support to Development team on grid connection and potential risks to project feasibility
  • Manage internal and external planning and engineering resources to prepare, submit, and obtain development approvals in a concept to Ready-To-Build approach
  • Build relationships with landowners to secure new project sites and maintain all necessary contracts and agreements
  • Establish and maintain development budgets and schedules, where necessary prioritising resources across the development portfolio
Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong background in renewable energy project development in Australia with a focus on land acquisition,planning and/or grid connection
  • Understanding of power system and electrical engineering concepts, with knowledge in grid connection studies and power system models
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Great understanding of prioritisation of project deliverables and driving successes across a project pipeline
  • Based in Sydney or Melbourne
