Job Description
- Grid Connection Process Management
- Lead and oversee the entire grid connection process, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely execution.
- Act as the primary contact for solution studies, ATR issuance, GCAs, and coordination with authorities and grid operators.
- Plan and manage grid connection timelines and budgets, ensuring cost-effective and successful project execution.
- Collaborate with distribution network operators (DNOs), transmission system operators (TSOs), and consultants to ensure regulatory compliance and project alignment.
- Adapt and update solution studies and documentation as needed.
- Engineering and Design Expertise
- Oversee technical and engineering aspects of grid connection designs for utility-scale PV power plants and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
- Utilize tools such as AutoCAD and PVsyst to verify and optimize designs, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Project Monitoring and Risk Management
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and budget tracking to provide strategic updates to senior management.
- Monitor the progress of grid connection, ensuring quality standards and compliance with technical requirements.
- Operational and Technical Problem-Solving
- Identify and resolve grid connection challenges, escalating critical issues when necessary to maintain project timelines.
- Manage technical and contractual documentation related to grid connections, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, including discussions with utilities, regulators, and key industry players.
- Enforce quality assurance procedures to mitigate risks and improve project efficiency.
- Represent the company in high-level technical negotiations to drive project success.
Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- Industry Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Proven track record in energy infrastructure development and large-scale solar projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in design and drawing tools such as AutoCAD and PVsyst.
- Knowledge of grid network operators, relevant authorities, and municipalities.
- Experience with permitting processes and zoning plan changes (ÚPD) is an advantage.
- Certifications in AutoCAD and other design tools are advantageous.
- Soft Skills & Competencies:
- Self-driven, independent work ethic, with strong teamwork skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform well under pressure with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Knowledge of legal frameworks and ability to negotiate various types of contracts.
- Language Requirements:
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) is mandatory.
